Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the captioned apparatus in order to positively let a third person know the position of a person wearing the life jacket, in which apparatus when the person wearing the life jacket has dived on the water, flash is emitted automatically and intermittently, and the cell for electric source is made small to make the apparatus itself compact and light.
CONSTITUTION: When the apparatus is used, a switch 2 for electric source is turned on. When the person wearing a life jacket has dived on the water, the resistance value between electrodes 182, 183 of a submersion switch 18 drops, and transistors 21, 24 are turned on. As a result, an electric source circuit 3 is actuated and a main discharge condenser 5 is charged. By the charged voltage of the condenser 5, a discharge tube 8 of a timer circuit 7 repeats the on and off at a certain period interval to start a thyristor 12 of a trigger circuit 11. Accordingly, pulses are provided to a trigger electrode of a flash discharge tube 6 from the secondary side of a trigger trans 17 to allow the flash discharge tube 6 to start. Thus, the flash discharge tube 6 discharges the electric charge of the condenser 5 to flash intermittently at periods determined by the timer circuit 7.
