Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the power input and cutting-off apparatus which can be used as a torgue limiter and also as a fixed position stop clutch by installing a pair of revolution bodies equipped with tapered ratchets which are engaged each other.
CONSTITUTION: The revolution body A consisting of the bevel gear having tapered ratchets 3... projecting on one side and the spur gear 5 spline-coupled are installed onto the revolution shaft 1 supported onto a transmission case 2. A spur gear 7 and a sprocket 8 are installed onto the output shaft 6 parallel to the revolution shaft 1, and the bevel gear A is engaged with the bevel gear 10 on an input shaft 9. The revolution body B having tapered ratchets 11 on the opposite surface to the revolution body A and having a shifter groove 12 on the peripheral surface is spline-coupled onto the revolution shaft 1 and pressed and urged towards the revolution body A by a spring 14. A shifter 16 is fixed on a fulcrum shaft 15 and inserted into the shifter groove 12 so as to press the tapered ratchets 11 leftward by the springy force of a toggle spring 19.
