Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the vibration of a voice coil motor by supporting a permanent magnet in the voice coil motor via a spring in an access direction. CONSTITUTION:A voice coil motor comprises a cylindrical yoke, 1, a permanent magnet 2 disposed on the inner peripheral surface of the yoke 1, and a coil bottin 4 movable at the position in the vicinity of the magnet 2. A mounting plate 3 is secured by screws to the end of the yoke 2, and the magnet 2 is urged by a spring 5 to the plate 3. when a drive signal is applied to a coil wound on the coil bobbin 4, the bobbin 4 is reciprocatingly driven in a direction designated by an arrow A. Since the impact force produced at this time can be absorbed by the magnet 2 and the spring 5, the vibration applied to base 7 can be prevented.
