Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of thrust and isolate vibration in the pipe arrangement of a pump, by connecting one end of delivery and suction manifolds to liquid and flexible pipes and supporting the other end through a flexible pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A bracket 18 integrally formed with a pump 1 is adapted to a foundation 19 through a vibro-insulator 20, on top of that a vibro-isolator 21 and washer 22 are tightened by a bolt. Then one end of a suction manifold 6 is connected to a buried liquid feed pipe 4 through a flexible pipe 5, and the other end is fixed to one end of a flexible pipe 31 through a tee 26 communicated to the pump 1. While one end of a delivery manifold 12 is connected to a buried feed liquid pipe 14 through a flexible pipe 13, and the end part of the manifols 12 is fixed to a bearing mount 34 through a tee 29 and flexible pipe 33. When the pump 1 is driven, fluid flows in the feed liquid pipe 4 and the manifold 6 and branches at the tee 26 from the manifolds, then flows into the feed liquid pipe 14 through the delivery manifold 12. In this case, though reaction force is applied to the suction manifold 6 and the delivery manifold 12, occurrence of thrust and vibration can be prevented by vibro-insulating action of the flexible pipes 5, 13, 31, 33.
