Abstract
PURPOSE:To remove the duty distortion of a recording medium against a recording electric signal, by shaping a waveform of an extracting digital signal whose band has been limited, by a comparator whose threshold level is controlled, and reproducing a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal recorded in a recording medium 1 is extracted by a ditial signal extracting means 3 and is outputted to a band limiting means 4. Subsequently, a comparator 5 as a digital signal reproducing means forms a waveform in accordance with a set threshold level and reproduces a digital signal. In this case, a time measuring instrument 6 measures the time of a positive level section and a negative level section of an output signal of the comparator 5, and in accordance with a result of this measurement, the threshold level of the comparator 5 is controlled by a thershold level controller 7. In this way, the duty distortion against a recording electric signal, which has been generated in the recording medium 1 is removed at the time of reproduction.
