Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of the circuit element generating from an abnormal discharge for the subject driving circuit by a method wherein a monitoring circuit, which gives a warning when the conduction time of a transistor exceeds the prescribed time in the motor every discharging circuit containing a discharge transistor. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a circuit having a DC motor connected to a bridge circuit 2 consisting of four transistors 21-24, for example, a discharge circuit 5 is provided between the bridge circuit 2 and an AC commutation circuit 6. A diode 55 to be used for voltage detection and a discharge transistor 51 are provided, and when there exists feedback energy in excess of the prescribed value when regenerating braking is performed, the energy is consumed with a resistor 52 by giving ON position to the transistor 51. Besides, a monitoring circuit 18, containing a timing circuit consisting of a photo coupler and a capacitor, is attached to the transistor 51, and a warning is given when the conduction time of the transistor 51 ex ceeds the prescribed time.
