Abstract

PURPOSE:To smooth movement on unleveled ground, by providing three or more wheels on each of cases containing transmission mechanisms for driving the right and left wheels and by mounting the cases on the body of a vehicle so that the cases can be swung up and down in opposite directions to each other around almost the same axis. CONSTITUTION:The free ends of transmission cases 6, each of which is fitted with four wheels 7 in a row extending in the front-to-rear direction of the body of a vehicle and contains a transmission mechanism 8 for driving the wheels 7 together, are pivotally connected to the right and left free ends of a member 15 which is swingably attached to a vehicle body frame 13 by a coupling shaft 14 extending in the front-to-rear direction of the vehicle body. The cases 6 can be swung up and down in opposite directions to each other around the axes of foremost axles 11 which are mounted almost concentrically to each other on the vehicle body. According to this constitution, two wheels 7 are brought into contact with the ground by the opposite swing of the cases 6 even if only two wheels 7 of one wheel group have gone on a protrusion. For that reason, the vehicle can smoothly move even on unleveled ground.
