Abstract

PURPOSE: A plaster useful for remedying the affected part, having improved prolonged medicinal effect, obtained by forming dividedly two or more drug-containing polymer layers on a substrate in such a way that the divided parts contain different amounts of filler which is non-compatible with the base polymer and impermeable to a drug.
CONSTITUTION: Drug-containing polymer layers are formed on the substrate 1 (e.g., plastic film) in such a way that the layers consist of the divided parts 2A, 2B, and 2C, and the divided parts contain different amounts of a filler, to give a plaster. Titanium oxide, silica gel, low active metal powder, polymer non-conpatible with the base polymer, etc. are used as the filler. For example, if the blending amounts are set small in the divided part 2A, middle in the divided part 2B, and large in the divided part 2C, the effective period of the drug of these parts is almost same, but the time to start the medicinal effect is delayed in proportion to the increase in the blending amount of the filler. Consequently, the prolonged period of the medicinal effect is lengthened as a whole.
