Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the temperature characteristics, by using a quartz base as a piezoelectric base and suitably determining the cut-azimus and propagation direction of surface acoustic waves. CONSTITUTION:Two reed-screen-shaped electrodes 2, 3 are located on a piezoelectric base 1, an electric signal is applied to one reed screen electrode 2 to convert it into surface acoustic waves and an electric signal is picked up from another reed-screen electrode 3. As the piezoelectric base 1, a rotating Y-cut quartz is used, the rotating angle is regulated to (28 deg.+ or -5 deg.) from the Y axis, and the direction of propagation of the surface acoustic waves is set to + or -(43 deg.+ or -3 deg.) from the X axis.
