Abstract

PURPOSE:To effectively utilize excess energy contained in natural gas by installing a regenerator in the middle of the liquefied natural gas passage and by returning natural gas from an expansion turbine, through the regenerator, to the liquefied natural gas passage. CONSTITUTION:A regenerator 7 is installed in the middle of the liquefied natural gas passage 6a, 6b. The regenerator is connected to an expansion turbine 5 and also to the liquefied natural gas passage 6a through a pump 8. A part of the gasified natural gas flows into the expansion turbine 5 and drives the expansion turbine 5. At the same time, gas itself expands adiabatically, exchanges heat with the liquefied natural gas by means of the regenerator 7 and returns to the passage 6a. Thus, aside from gasifying the liquefied natural gas and supplying the gasified natural gas, excess energy of gas is effectively utilized.
