Abstract
PURPOSE:To make effective a thermal radiation and also to prevent occurrence of void and/or creases in the external layer by a method wherein a preplug tape soaking thermal hardening resin is wrapped around the electromagnetic coil and a concave groove is provided on the external circumference surface. CONSTITUTION:A winding unit 6 comprises a wire 8 and an interlayer insulator 9, which are removed along a radial direction in the intermediate place of the vertical direction of the external circumference to make a space 14. A external hardening resin is soaked by utilizing glass fiber and others as a basic material and the winding unit 6 is wrapped with a semihardeninging preplug tape to make an external layer 7. A press plate 13 is provided on the external layer 7 as to be opposite to the space 14 and is hardened through a pressing and heating process. At this time, a slack in the preplug tape is absorbed by press-down of the tape into the space 14, whereby the creases and/or the void can be removed. According to the above constitution, a split mold coil having an excellent external view and thermal radiation property can be obtained and a concave groove 12 be formed in the outside of the coil.
