Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the leakage of coolant from the end face of a roller into a compression chamber and an intake chamber so as to improve the performance of a compressor, by minimizing the clearance at the end face of a roller which makes revolutions inside a cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: A recess 15 is provided on the end face of a roller 5 in bearing 7, 8, and pushing plate 16 is housed in this recess 15 with freedom of axial movement but no allowance for rotary motion, while a pressure guide hole 18 opened and closed by rotary movement of the roller 5 is provided on this pushing plate 16 so that the pressure generated during compression process may be introduced into a hollow space 19 formed by the pushing plate 16 and bearing 7, 8 through this pressure guide hole. Accordingly, the pushing plate 16 is pressed toward the roller 5 owing to a differential pressure between those in the hollow space 19 and cylinder chamber 4a.
