CONSTITUTION:A mixture of a thermoplastic resin such as epoxy resin or polyvinyl butyral resin with an adequate amount of xylene-formaldehyde resin is used as the binder resin of a toner. 100% Xyrene resin modified with phenols, carboxylic acids or the like may be used in place of the xylene-formaldehyde resin. By adding the xylene-formaldehyde resin, the pulverization energy for the thermoplastic resin is reduced, and the time required to pulverize the resin is shortened. In addition, the resin has low viscosity when melted by heating, and it is melted sharply and sticks firmly to copying paper. Accordingly, a toner fit for high-speed PPC copying is obtd.
