Abstract

PURPOSE:To select an excellent station quickly, by counting the number of times when the received electric field is a prescribed value or less within a specified time and obtaining an average electric field. CONSTITUTION:A part of output of a detection circuit 2 is applied to a comparator via an integration circuit (consisting of a resistor 8 and capacitor 9) and compared with a prescribed value A. That is, the number of times when the detected output B crosses with the level of A within a prescribed time is counted at a counting circuit 11. The result of count is transmitted to a discrimination circuit 12, and an automatic channel selection control output is transmitted to a channel selector 4 from the controller 6 with the output of the circuit 12, when the value reaches a count value. The output of the comparator 7 is also applied to a signal detecting circuit 5, and when a signal detection output is produced from a signal detection circuit, the output is applied to the control circuit 6 to stop channel selection.
