Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure easily tobacco contents of cigarettes by putting the shift of the zero point of a radiation desitometer to an output device. CONSTITUTION:B rays sent out from a radiation source 104 travel through a cigarette stick 103 and enter an ion box 101. Radiations sent out from a radiation source 105 travel through a standard density substance 102 and enter an ion box 100. The deviation of the density of the cigarette stick from the standard is put into an operational amplifier 106. Outputs of the operational amplfier 106 are averaged in an averaging device 511, and are put into comparing devices 512 and 513. Outputs from the comparing devices 512 and 513 are put into a motor driving circuit 514, and a motor 38 is controlled to make the tobacco content equal to the standard. An average weight of the cigarette is adjusted so that the output of the radiation densitometer is zero all the time.
