Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve excavated soil for back-filling purpose by mixing a soil stabilizer, e.g., quick lime, etc., together with auxiliary additives, e.g., good quality sandy soil present in the excavated soil and ground asphalt concrete, etc., with the excavated soil in such a way as to lower the moisture content ratio of the excavated soil.
CONSTITUTION: A soil stabilizer, e.g., quick lime, cement, etc., together with auxiliary materials, e.g., good quality sandy soil present in the excavated soil, ground asphalt concrete, etc., is mixed with the excavated soil in such a way as to lower the moisture content ratio of the excavated soil and also to raise its roadbed bearing ratio (CBR value). Thus, the excavated soil has a bearing force great enough to use for back-filling work. For example, the proportions of excavated soil, auxiliary material, and quick lime are 75%, 20%, and 5%, respectively.
