Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate the foam of an ozonizing gas automatically by ejecting waste water from a spray nozzle in an ozonizing tower, and rotaing a nozzle mounting pipe by the reaction thereof in decreasing the chromaticity and COD of the waste water with the ozonizing gas.
CONSTITUTION: An ozonizing gas is released in the form of foam into the waste water 3 to be treated in an ozone reaction tower 1 from the diffusion pipe 5 provided in the lower part of the tower. While the foam of the oxonizing gas ascends in the waste water 3, it decreases the chromaticity and COD of the waste water to be treated. At this time, the waste water to be trated enters through an inlet 4, is introduced into the tower 1 through a conduit 4a, and is ejected by a spray nozzle 4e from spray nozzle mounting pipe 4d. At this time the pipe 4d is rotated by the reaction of the ejecting waste water to eliminate the foam produced by the aeration of the ozonizing gas, after which the gas is introduced into the next ozone decomposing tower 13. The need for a defoaming tower for removing the foam of the ozonizing gas is eliminated.
