Abstract
PURPOSE: An organic polymeric composition, obtained by incorporating an acrylated hydroxy acid compound in an organic polymer, and highly stabilized against the deterioration by heat and oxygen.
CONSTITUTION: An organic polymeric composition prepared by adding 0.05W2wt%, based on an organic polymer, compound of the formula (R is H, 1W22C alkyl or 2W 22C alkenyl which may be substituted by 1W5 OH groups; R2 is H, CH3 or phenyl; R3 is H or CH3 when R2 is CH3; n is 0W4; Me is metal of GroupsI, II and III, Zn, Cd, Sn, Pb, Ti, Sb, Bi or V; m is the valence of the metal), e.g. calcium stearoyllactate. Preferably, a sterically hindered phenolic compound is used with the compound of the formula. An unsaturated elastomer, a copolymer of a mono- or diolefin, a styrene polymer, unsaturated acid (co)polymer, a polymer of an unsaturated alcohol and amine, polyacetal or (co)polyamide may be cited as the organic polymer.
