Abstract

PURPOSE:To record a composite image of negative and positive pieces of image information easily by trnsferring an electrostatic latent image on a special photoreceptor to a dielectric surface, by exposing the said photoreceptor to the image by light of a waveform sensitive to only a photoconductive layer, and then by transferring the latent image to the said dielectric surface. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photoreceptor 1 formed by providing a photoconductive layer on a conductive substrate and further coating the surface with a transparent oroganic photoconductive layer is charged uniformly to perform exposure to analog image information (figure b). To the surface of a dielectric 3 having a dielectric layer 32 on a conductive substrate 31 given the opposite polarity to the photoreceptor substrate, an elecrrostatic latent image is transferred (figure c). While an electric field is applied to the surface of the photoreceptor 1 as shown in a figure (d), negative dot exposure which is sensitive to the photoconductive layer but not sensitive to the transparent photoconductive layer is performed to obtain a reversal image. The electrostatic latent image by the exposure, while positioned on the surface of the dielectric 3 as shown in the figure (e), is transferred and the dielectric 3 having superposed analog and digital latent images is developed.
