USE: Labelling hapten for the radioimmunoassay of cephalotaxines.
PROCESS: For example, cephalotaxine of formula II is made to react with a dicarboxylic acid such as succinic anhydride to obtain 3-0-succsnylcephalotaxine, which is reacted with the compound of formula III, etc. in the presence of triethylamine, dicyclohexylcarbodiimide, etc. to afford the objective compound of formulaI.
