CONSTITUTION:A side holder 13 of a nonmagnetic good conductor is made to adhere and placed on the side of the running direction of a tape 1 of a main magnetic pole 11 consisting of a magnetic thin film having high magnetic permeability, such as permalloy whose tip part is placed so as to be opposed to the magnetic surface of the magnetic tape 1, through a high-hard thin film layer 12. In this way, the linearity of an edge of a main magnetic pole can be held entirely with good durability, and friction, deformation, etc. caused by sliding contact with a magnetic tape can be prevented.
