The incident light is emitted from a plurality of cuts 3 formed in the surface of the optical fiber 5 on its one side, so that the clockface 4 is illuminated uniformly. The optical fiber 5 may be spiraled or arranged to be parallel to illuminate the clockface or indication by liquid crystals.
