Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a pressure-sensitive adhesive body having improved permeability, not causing the decomposition of a medicine, by coating a permeable substrate with a specific pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, followed by immersing the coated substrate in an aqueous coagulating and extracting solution so that an organic solvent in the composition is extracted and simultaneously the composition is coagulated.
CONSTITUTION: A permeable substrate is coated with a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition (e.g., acrylic type polymer, polyurethane, etc.)using an organic solvent (e.g., acetone, etc.) capable of being extracted with an aqueous type coagulating and extracting solution at normal temperature, and the coated substrate is immersed in the extracting solution so that the organic solvent is extracted and simultaneously the composition is coagulated, to give the desired pressure-sensitive adhesive body. A water-insoluble or slightly water-soluble medicine (e.g., corticosteroid, e.g., hydrocortisone, etc., analgesic, anti-inflammatroy agent, e.g., acetaminophen, etc., hydrontic, sedative, e.g., phenobarbital, etc.) is added to the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition to give usefully a medicine-containing pressure-sensitive adhesive body.
