Abstract

PURPOSE: To heat waste gas while preventing the corrosion of the material of a heater by a method in which moisture-saturated waste gas after a wet treatment is mixed circularly with part of waste gas from the outlet of a heating treatment apparatus in such a way as to prevent the condensation of vapor in flue by the reducing effect of the temperature and relative humidity of waste gas at the inlet of the heater.
CONSTITUTION: High-temperature waste gas 1 containing SOx is brought into contact with a heating tube 3 inside a duct 2 to lower its temperature to 70W90°C, and then introduced to a wet type gas absorber 7 where the waste gas is brought into contact with an absorption liquid 8 to transfer SOx gas to the liquid 8 and also to cool the gas to the temperature of circulating absorption liquid, whereby moistening the gas to saturation.
