Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the lamination of a color filter layer directly on a substrate by containing aqueous soluble bis-azide compound containing sulphonic acid group for a material layer as a crosslinking agent when a color filter is formed as a colorant receiving layer with an organic macromolecular material layer on a plurality of photodetectors formed on a semiconductor substrate correspondingly. CONSTITUTION:Photoelectric coverters 8, 9, 10 are formed in mosaic shape corresponding to the colors on a solid state image pickup element substrate 1, and color filters corresponding to them are formed thereon. That is, the first color of gelatin color pattern 2 is formed on the converter 8, an intermediate layer 3 is covered, the second color pattern 4 is formed on the converter 10 disposed thereon, and the third color pattern 6 is formed on the converter 9 through the intermediate layer 3. Aqueous soluble bis-azide compound containing sulphonic acid group or sulphonic acid ammonium salt is contained as a crosslinking agent as the organic macromolecular material forming the pattern, thereby eliminating the transparent substrate or the like and enabling the formation of the pattern directly.
