Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a small size and trouble-free device by detecting water levels with optical fibers via transparent glass segmenting the water surface. CONSTITUTION:The light emitted from a light emitting circuit A goes toward a water surface through an optical fiber (a). Now, when the water level is in a low level position L, the reflected light enters an optical fiber (c) and this causes a discrimination circuit 3 to operates a water feed pump driving circuit 4 thereby starting water feeding. When the water level ascends up to a high level position H, the light enters an optical fiber (b), and the operation of the circuit 4 is released by the circuit 3. The similar operation is repeated by the ascending and descending of the water level. Since the water surface in a level control cylinder 2 is through transparent glass 1 and does not contact with the optical fibers, the long-term stable controlling of water levels is made possible.
