Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent increase of quantity of dehydrated cake, thus to improve filtterability and dehydrability, in dehydration for organic sludge produced through treating sewage and waste water by adding cationic polymer flocculant into the oxidized and decomposed material produced after an oxidizing agent is added into the organic sludge.
CONSTITUTION: Through adding 0.01W3wt%, based on the weight of dried sludge, oxidizing agent such as ozone, hydrogen peroxide, sodium hypochlorite or gaseous clorine, into organic sludge produced through treatment of sewage and waste water, said sludge is oxidized and decomposed. Then, through adding 0.01W2wt%, based on the weight of dried sludge, cationic polymer flocculant of polyacrylamide type or the like into said oxidized and decomposed material, the organic sludge is floccurlated to form floc. Thereby, flocculatng effect is improved and, as a result of this improvement, dehydrability is also improved. In case ozone is used for the oxidizing agent, both deodorizing effect and pasteurizing effect are exhibited.
