Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect a failure before system-down and to restart a fixed point and give information to the maintenance personnel, by monitoring that a monitor counter of monitor memory corresponding to the overflow of each processor. CONSTITUTION:A failure monitor 6 has a monitor counter or monitor memory corresponding to each processor 1, and the content of monitor is counted up from the initial value to a specified final value within a specified monitor period at all times. On the other hand, each processor 1 clears the content of monitor periodically with a monitor content clear program started in a shorter renewal period than the monitored period. If the telephone call processing on-line is not processed with the failure, the content of monitor is not cleared, and since the content of monitor overflows the specified value, the processor 1 is judged as failure for restarting of fixed point and failure information, allowing to start a failure processing program.
