Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the tensile and breaking elongation rates of separator, in order to prolong the life of a battery by using the one which is heated and formed in a plate from the mixed paper of a certain volume of polyolefine system synthetic pulp and synthetic fiber etc., as the separator. CONSTITUTION:In the battery for a car, specially a separator suitable for the battery using a calcium-lead alloy lattice electrode plate is manufactured as follows. A suitable amount of polyolefine system synthetic pulp, monofilament synthetic fiber and acid-proof inorganic fiber or inorganic powder which are below 2.0 melt index is mixed with a usual pulper, then anionic and cationic powder floceulating agents are added to the mixture and paper is manufactured. Thereafter, the paper is heated at about 120-160 deg.C and polyolefine synthetic pulp, etc. is fused and deposited in order to form a separator. Said pulp is composed of polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., together with these polymer and mixture so as to achieve 20- 60wt%.
