Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to form a plurality of dampers which are operated independently by a method wherein the magnetic fields of a plurality of different magnetic field generators which are fixedly fitted to a plurality of different parts of movable bodies in an exposing optical system of a duplicator and are used as dampers for th movable bodies or the like are exerted to a conductor plate which is provided in the space for moving the movable bodies. CONSTITUTION:When the movable body 1 is moved in the direction of the X-axis, the magnetic field generator H also moves in the directon of the X-axis and a current flows only through the part of the conductor plate D located in the magnetic field generated by the generator H, while no current flows through the remaining part of the plate D in the exterior of the magnetic field. Accordingly, by a metod wherein the magnetic fields of different magnetic field generators fixedly fitted to respective different movable bodies are exerted on a plurality of different parts of te cnductor plate D as viewed in the direction of the X-axis, a plurality of dampers which are operated independently are composed of a common conductor plate D and a plurality of magnetic field generators.
