Abstract

PURPOSE:To accurately specify a cutting point of a tape, by recording a time code indicating the cutting point and the date of an address code at the initiation part of the tape. CONSTITUTION:A reproducing device includes two master VTRs 1A and 1B plus plural copying VTRs 2a, 2b.... The data transfer pulse is formed when the code recording mode starts. During this pulse section, the data on the cutting point stored in a RAM18 of a microcomputer CP4 is tranferred to a recording circuit. This recording circuit converts the data into a time code to transmit it to the VTRs 1A and 1B. The transmission of this code is carried out in the section of the recording start pulse generated from the CP4, and the start pulse is generated at a prescribed position from the starting point of the code recording mode to be sent to the recording circuit. As a result, the O data, the data on the cutting point code and then the O data are recorded respectively on a cue track in each prescribed period.
