Abstract

PURPOSE:To protect a speaker and to prevent the production in a strong voice, by temporarily storing the output current from an amplifier and restoring the volume to a prescribed low level through a delay circuit when being switched on, in an amplifier of an audio equipment. CONSTITUTION:When a switch SW1 is switched on, a switch SW2 is opened with a delay circuit 7, and the output of audio current from an amplifier 3 to a speaker 4 is kept for a while. At the same time, a motor 12 is rotated through an instruction from a control circuit 8 to detect the restoration of a volume control to zero point and to operate a switch SW3, allowing to stop the motor. With this state, a delay operation is finished, a switch SW2 is closed and an audio current of low level flows to the speaker 4. Thereafter, a knob of the volume control 14 is manually operated and volume adjustment can be made to an arbitrary level.
