Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the attachment of the fused material to electrodes by providing members for blowing gas into the gap between an outer wall and the electrodes for sensing the liquid level of the fused material provided on the outer wall. CONSTITUTION:The electrode 1 and the electrode 1', which is longer than the electrode 1 by a specified length, are inserted through pipes 7 and 7' attached to the outer wall 2, and lids 3 and 3' with terminal plates 4 and 4' are provided on the pipes 7 and 7' on the outer wall side. Members 6 and 6' for blowing the gas into the gap between the pipes 7 and 7' and the electrodes 1 and 1' are provided. The level of the liquid surface is measured by sensing whether a current flows between the electrodes 1 and 1' or not. In this constitution, since the gas can be blown into a kiln through the gas blowing members 6 and 6', the attachment of evaporated material, bending of the electrodes, and the like can be prevented.
