Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a natural convection type air cooling heat exchanger having an improved heat transfer capacity to its fins by a method wherein the filamentous fins and pipes of the heat exchanger are connected to one another such that the joints of the two members are in the forms of circular arcs to thereby increase the sectional areas of contact between the two members.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of circular arc corrugated filamentous fins 2 are fixed to the linear sections 1a of the meandering pipes 1. In this case, the fixing of the filamentous fins 2 to the pipes 1 is so made that the circular arc sections 2a of the fins 2 come into full contact with the pipes 1, respectively.
