Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively carry out membrane separation treatment by making an oil component insoluble by acidifying the pH of an oil containing waste water.
CONSTITUTION: In a storage tank 2, the pH of an emulsified oil containing waste water 1 is adjusted to 2W6 by adding an inorg. acid or/and an org. acid thereto and stirring the same and, while a floated oil is removed from a line 9 in a floated oil removing apparatus 8, said waste water is supplied to a membrane separation apparatus 4 by a pump 6 to be separated into a permeate water 5 and a concentrated liquid 6. Therefore, the emulsified oil component in the oil containing waste water as well as an oil component of an additive can be efectively removed as well as, by supplying the oil containing waste water to the membrane separation treatment apparatus after the floated oil easily adhered to a selective permeation membrane assembled in said apparatus is preliminarily removed or while removed, pollution of a membrane surface due to the floated oil can be prevented and, while a permeated water amount is kept high, the membrane separation treatment of the oil containing waste water can be stably carried out.
