Abstract
PURPOSE:To synthesize the images on two sheets of originals in the state of positive by forming electrostatic latent images on each of two photoreceptors charged to the same polarity by the light images of respective originals, and allowing the surface of these two photoreceptors to contact, thereby electrostatically transferring the images. CONSTITUTION:Originals 01, 02 are respectively placed, a mirror 6 is put in a solid line position, a photoreceptor 1 is turned in an arrow direction, and the original 01 is scanned by a slit exposure optical system 4. As the photoreceptor 1 makes 1 turn, the electrostatic latent image corresponding to the original 01 is formed on the peripheral surface thereof. When the photoreceptor 2 starts the 2nd turn, the mirror 6 changes over to a broken line position, and thereafter, the original 02 is scanned and the electrostatic latent image corresponding thereto is successively formed on the photoreceptor 2. The electrostatic latent images respectively formed on the photoreceptors 1 and 2 are superposed, whereby the synthesized electrostatic latent images of the images on the originals 01, 02 by electrostatic transfer are formed on the photoreceptor 1.
