Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the sensitivity of detection and to decrease the amount of sample, by bringing a labeled antigen-antibody reaction product into contact with silver halide at the presence of hydrazine compounds. CONSTITUTION:An antigen or an antibody is labeled with a spectral sensitizing dye for photograph as a labeling agent, and a sample contg. the antigen or antibody to be measure, and the antibody or antigen which reacts with the antigen or antibody specifically, are reacted competitively. The resulted antigen-antibody reaction product is brought into contact with silver halide contg. hydrazine compound shown in the general formula (H), and exposed to the light of wavelength which is absorbed by a spectral sensitizing dye. The exposed silver halide is developed, and the optical density of the resulted chromophoric dye is measured. According to this process, the sensibility of detection is enhanced and the multiitem determination can be performed with the quantity of same similar to the usual method.
