Abstract

PURPOSE:To produce a rotating-contact body continuously for a rotating biological- oxidation equipment without requiring man powers, by jointing a sheet, having formed projections on its surface, to a flat sheet and forming them into a coil around a shaft. CONSTITUTION:Projections 6 and recesses 7 are formed on a surface of a blank sheet band 5 by a hot vacuum forming or a roll forming. The band 5 is jointed to a sheet band, having approximately the same breadth as that of the band 5, by a supersonic deposition or a hot needle depositting method and is made into one piece of composite plate 17. Further, the plate 17 is guided to guide rolls 18 and taken up by a shaft 2 into a cylinder of spiral-shape around the shaft 2. This cylindrical body is used as a rotating-contact body for the rotating biological-oxidation equipment, and in this way, it can be produced continuously without requiring man powers.
