Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent occurrence of explosive ignition in a combustor having an inner and an outer cylinders arranged concentrically to each other, by specifying positional relationship or other between the lowermost air ports of an inner and an outer cylinders which face a heat-transmitting member disposed in the manner of surrounding the outer cylinder.
CONSTITUTION: In a gas combustor of this invention, an inner cylinder 4 and an outer cylinder 7 having both a multiplicity of small apertures are disposed concentrically on a burner 1 which has many gas outlet ports 3 in its upper surface. The inner and outer cylinders 4, 7 are respectively formed with combustion-air ports 5, 8 at their upper posrtions and premixing-air ports 6, 9 at their lower portions. Further, a heat-transmitting member 11 made of a heat-resisting material is mounted on an outer case 12, in the manner of surrounding the outer cylinder 7 concentrically. Here, of the air ports 5, 8 of the inner and outer cylinders 4, 7 facing the member 11, combustion-air ports 5 of the inner cylinder 4 are positioned at least one or two rows higher than the lowermost row of the combustion-air ports 8 formed in the outer cylinder 7. Further, auxiliary combustion-air poarts 5' having a smaller diameter than the ports 5 are fomed at the lower combustion portion of the inner cylinder 4 where it faces air ports 8 of the outer cylinder 7.
