Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate a gap produced between a cleaning device and a drum and reduces the contact pressure and improve the cleaning performance, by providing a guide plate which is made of an elastic material such as polyurethane, rubber, etc. and has a curved surface at its tip that touches the drum. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 14 is set to a metallic parts 12 that turns vertically by the rotation of a cam 10 and at the front side of the working point of a blade 3 in order to receive the falling toner and leands it to a recovered toner carrying screw 11. This plate 14 is made of an elastic material such as the polyurethane rubber, etc. and has a curved surface at the one or both surfaces of the tip that touches a photosensitive drum 1. When this tip is made to touch lightly the surface of the drum 1, the contact pressure is eased up at the thin part of the curved surface. Thus the contact pressure can be reduced although the contact length is increased. As a result, the adhesive performance to the drum 1 is increased and enhance the cleaning performance.
