Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the attenuation of optical signals, by picking up an optical signal from an optical transmission line, converting and amplifying this signal into electric signal and again converting into an optical signal, and transmitting it in synthesizing with other optical signals separated at an optical distributor. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of slave stations 301, 302, and a master station 100 are coupled with multidrop system at optical transmission lines TL1, TL2...,RL1, RL2.... The optical signal from the master station 100 is outputted to a distribution coupler 201 via the transmission line TL1, a part of this optical signal is separated and inputted to the slave station 301 via the optical transmission line TL11. The optical signal inputted to the slave station 301 is converted into an electric signal at an optical signal amplifying circuit 400 and power-amplified, then it is again converted into an optical signal and coupled with the rest optical signals separated at the coupler 201 via the line TL12 and transmitted to the line TL2. Similarly, the signal is transmitted to the slave station 302 via the distributing coupler 203 and the optical signal from the slave station 302 is transmitted to the slave station 301 and the master station 100 via the coupler 202.
