Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate heat displacement in the direction of Z axis at a main axis head nose part, which is the maximum heat generating spot, in accordance with a functional formula showing the previously measured characteristic of temperature- heat displacement, so that correct compensation is possible. CONSTITUTION:Each detected temperature t1, t2 by temperature sensors 101, 102 installed on a main shaft head nose and a frame are converted into an electric signal and furnished to amplifiers 103, 104. A selector 5 switches the amplifiers 103, 104 successively to incorporate the sensors 101, 102 into a numerical value controlling device CNC. An output of an analogue digital converter 106 is entered into a buffer unit 107A. Since a functional formula showing characteristic of temperature-heat displacement, obtained through previous measurement, is maintained by a data memory 109, informations about temperature from a machine tool are processed in accordance with a program memory 110 and heat displacement in the direction of Z axis is compensated.
