Abstract
PURPOSE: To elevate the heat transmission efficiency, by equipping a spiral band plate to a heat pipe in the cylindrical state and forming a liquid reservoir.
CONSTITUTION: The band plate 3 spirally wound is inserted into a slender cylinder 1, whose open end is closed by a cap 4 to seal the operation liquid 5 in the cylinder. The band plate 3 is closely contacted with the inside wall of the cylinder 1, forming the liquid reservoir 6 on the end edge of the side 1b in the condenser part of band plate 3 as shown in a figure B. The band plate 3, made of metal material, is formed so that an external diameter of spiral is larger than an internal diameter of cylinder 1, or is consisted of the absorbent material which has capillary action. The liquid reservoir 6 can be formed by bending one side edge 3', at least, of band plate 3, as shown in a figure C.
