Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the test accuracy by comparing the mercury resonance line intensity and other mercury bright line intensity of the discharge emission. CONSTITUTION:A mercury vapor discharge lamp 1 is arc-discharged with a high frequency powder unit 2. A detector 3a detects a mercury resonance line with wave length of 254nm, and a detector 3b detects one of mercury bright line with wave lengths of 405, 436, 546, and 1,014nm. Outputs from detectors 3a, 3b are input to a differential amplifier 6 through main amplifiers 4a, 4b and logarithmic amplifiers 5a, 5b, an output from the differential amplifier 6 is displayed on a meter 10, and compared to an output from a reference value generator 8 with a comparing amplifier 7, and the judgement on the lamp 1 is displayed on a display device 9.
