Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the erroneous setting of a distance by generating an output signal when the set value of a distance ring is less than a prescribed distance value and by driving the distance ring automatically up to a prescribed distance value independently of a distance measurement signal. CONSTITUTION:When a distance value set by a distance ring is within a manual range and an object at an automatic-range position is to be photographed, turning a switch S0 on with an operation button inputs information on the distance of the object, measured by a line sensor IC1, to an integrated circuit IC3 to obtain a distance measurement signal. Since the distance set by the distance ring 1 is within the manual range, a switch SW1 is kept on by being pushed by the flank 1a of the distance ring 1; the signals of output lines (a) and (c) go to ''1''s without reference to a comparison output, and those of lines (b) and (d) to ''1''s. Consequently, a motor M turns as shown by an arrow to change the switch SW1 from a contact M over to a contact A, and then a drivng circuit DDC is controlled by the comparison output to perform focusing operation.
