Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a proper controlling process at the time of low temperature in the engine in such a way that a delay angle compensating value is sought for by load in the engine and water temperature for cooling in the engine in order to perform ignition progressive angle by the determined related formula. CONSTITUTION:A basic progressive value thetab is sought for on the basis of load in the engine and revolving speed in the engine in the step 31. A progressive angle compensating value thetaa in the step 32. The compensating value theta is determined by the characteristic to decrease down to 80 deg.C linearly with rise of water temperature for cooling in the engine. Discrimination is done for need of delay angle compensation in the step 33. Thus, water temperature for cooling in the engine for abscissa and ratio of air inlet volume to revolving speed for ordinate show the load in the engine, and when the engine condition exists on the low load side of the specific line for the both, the delay angle compensation is done.
