Abstract
PURPOSE: To make it possible to use in common the machines composing the captioned apparatus for cooling, heating and humidifying purposes and to make it easy to transfer and to change the direction of the body of the apparatus by a method wherein a fan type heater is incorporated in the apparatus.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of performing a cooling operation, the air conditioner is set with its cool air outlet 4 facing the front and the air taken in from an inlet 12 by a cooler fan 6 is blown out from an outlet 4 via a vent passage 15 after it is cooled by a cooler 5 in a cooling cycle. For heat radiation, the air taken in from an inlet 14 by a heat radiating fan 10 is introduced into a heat radiator 9 to exchange heat and is then discharged from an outlet 13. Further, in the case of performing a heating operation, the body 1 of the air conditioner is so turned that the outlet 13 faces the front and then a burner 23 and the like are operated. In this case, the air taken in from the inlets 12 and 14 by the fans 6 and 10 is passed through a heat exchanger 28 for heating and is then blown off from the outlet 13 after it is mixed with a combustion gas from the burner 23.
