Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of uneven printing concentration by using a system in which an electric power insufficient to colorize a heat-sensitive recording paper is applied to heating resistor rows for thermal printing during the nonprinting period following the ending of the printing of one line. CONSTITUTION:In a driving circuit for heating resistor rows for thermal printing, used in facsimile, printer, etc., an electric power is applied to the heating resistor rows according to picture signal for energization, the printing of one line is performed on a heat-sensitive recording paper, a pulse enough not to colorize the heat- sensitive recording paper is applied to OR gates G1 to G80 during the nonprinting period until the printing of the next line, and electric power is applied to each of heating resistors H1 to H320. Thus, the color concentration for printing can be kept constant regardless of the length of the nonprinting period, and also the occurrence of uneven color concentration due to the different lengths of the nonprinting period can be prevented.
