Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate welding, to improve bonding strength and to reduce dispersion by a method wherein a molten material sink is provided on a rubber belt supporter and both ends of said rubber belt are melted and welded under pressure so that molten material at the end of the rubber belt not drop.
CONSTITUTION: Rubber belts 1, 1' provided by adhesive thermoplastic urethane rubber or the like are supported by supporters 4, 5 made from heat-resisting material. Simultaneously, on the upper end surface of the support 5 a small gap 6 around the rubber belt 1' is provided as a sink of molten material, the material 3' on the end surface melted by a heat plate or the like is held and after the axes of the belts 1, 1' are aligned, the supporters 4, 5 are closed, the belt 1 is inserted into the molten material 3' of the belt 1' and placed in a molten state. Then, the molten material containing the belts 1, 1' is solidified by the water or the like to complete welding of the belt 1 into the belt 1'.
