Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtan a heat roller with uniform temperature distribution kept over the entire length and to remove unevenness of fixation by contacting with transfer the heat roller with a heat pipe roller to prepare them. CONSTITUTION:Heating fixation is performed through transfer paper that is not yet fixed between a heat roller 11 and a pressurizing roller 12. On the heat roller 11 the heat pipe roller 13 is prepared with contact each other and transfer. The heat pipe roller 13 is constituted by a pipe body 14, a wick 15 prepared on an internal peripheral wall of the pipe body 14 and having an action of a capillary phenomenon and an actuation liquid 16 closed in the pipe body 14. Thermal conductivity of the heat pipe roller is an order of 4,000 times of aluminium, so temperature transfer is performed momentarily, and even if a size of transfer paper that is used chages, temperature distribution in the axial direction of the heat roller 11 is always uniform, thus allowing unevenness of fixation to be prevented.
